Parental Help for Spelling

The lists below are words that your child will be learning to spell throughout their time at New Park Primary School. These lists are a mixture of words that we encourage children to use in their writing and words they they can often misspell. The words run alongside other spelling objectives that we cover as part of our spelling lessons.

We would be grateful if you could support your child at home in discussing, learning to read and spelling the words from the lists relevant to their year group. Please read the 'Helping Your Child With Spellings' document for advice on different strategies that can be used

Our Primary School

Our children are fantastic, our staff are brilliant and we have a strong and active community of parents, friends and colleagues who all pull together to give our children the best possible education and experience of school. It is also great to be part of the Cathedral Schools Trust and to work with their South Bristol schools to the benefit of all our pupils.

All queries relating to the school and curriculum content should be directed to Miriam Fredrickson (Headteacher) office@headleypark.bristol.sch.uk.

2 of our HP children competed in Yate athletics comp. today, representing @Bristolwestjnrs.

Sam from Y6 won his 100m, his 4x1 relay and his standing long jump!

In addition, our former pupil Ella smashed her 150m PB & ran 11.10s in the 75m. Wow! @BdownSchool

Some brilliant results from our Year 4 & 5’s who took part in the @Bristolwestjnrs Quad Kids events this week!

It was the first event for many of them so to perform to such a high level is amazing.
