Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. They report directly to Parliament and are independent and impartial.

Inspections cover maintained schools and academies, some independent schools, other educational institutions and provide reports to help improve practice and standards.

The stated goal of Ofsted is to achieve excellence in education and skills for learners of all ages, and in the care of children and young people.

You can use the Ofsted website to

  • Look at every school’s inspection reports
  • See the last year’s results in a section called Data Dashboard
  • Post comments on the school in Parent View

“We are really proud that when Ofsted inspected us in February 2013 they found the school to be Outstanding in all areas”

ACHIEVEMENT

All groups of pupils make outstanding progress due to the very well planned curriculum focusing on the needs of each child.

QUALITY OF TEACHING

The curriculum provides a wide range of rich opportunities for learning and very successfully promotes pupils’ spiritual, moral, cultural and social development, ensuring that pupils are very well prepared for the next stage in their education.

BEHAVIOUR & SAFETY OF PUPILS

Behaviour is excellent across the school because of the consistent approach to behaviour management and the mutual respect that exists between pupils and adults.

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

Leadership from the headteacher, senior leaders and governors is excellent.

Our Primary School

Our children are fantastic, our staff are brilliant and we have a strong and active community of parents, friends and colleagues who all pull together to give our children the best possible education and experience of school. It is also great to be part of the Cathedral Schools Trust and to work with their South Bristol schools to the benefit of all our pupils.

Ahead of #roadsafetyweek, our children were outside school this morning asking drivers to #speeddown.

Help us by making a pledge, committing to improved road safety(comment below on what you can do to improve road safety around the school).

We loved our visit from @Bristol_RFC players today - inspirational athletes helping our Year 3’s with their reading.
